About Us

Founded in 2018, we began by offering English language classes in a church basement. Today, we provide a comprehensive range of services to families across Kentucky. We believe that supporting our neighbors from diverse backgrounds strengthens the entire community. Nehemiah’s Cry for Development (NCD) is a 501(c)(3) volunteer-based organization dedicated to empowering communities in Lexington, Kentucky. While our primary mission has been to support refugees in their journey toward self-sufficiency, we recognize that many individuals—regardless of their background—face similar barriers to stability and success. That’s why we are expanding our vision to serve the broader Kentucky community, offering resources and support to all who need a helping hand.

At NCD CLC Lexington, we are excited to introduce our latest initiative—the Creative Learning Center. Through hands-on activities, interactive lessons, and a curriculum focused on creativity and critical thinking, we aim to nurture a love for learning in every child.
