About Nehemiah's Cry for Integral Development
A nonprofit operating in Lexington, Kentucky, with a mission to empower African immigrants and refugees for meaningful integration and long-term independence.

Our Story
NCID was founded from a deep understanding of the emotional, cultural, economic, and language barriers many African immigrants face while transitioning into life in America.
Our Community
We serve African immigrants and refugees across Lexington, building bridges between newcomers and the broader Kentucky community.
Our Grassroots Approach
Our experts, many of whom come from African backgrounds themselves, understand these challenges personally and professionally. This allows us to create strategies that are culturally informed, practical, and deeply respectful.
Why NCID Exists
Because every immigrant family deserves trusted guidance, dignified support, and a real pathway to independence — delivered by people who understand the journey.
Our mission is to activate the untapped potential within immigrant and refugee communities by providing support services, educational programs, empowerment initiatives, and access to resources that promote self-reliance and long-term success.
We envision a thriving African immigrant community where individuals and families become independent, empowered, and equipped to create positive change within their communities and future generations.
